oh baby you're okay

2018

Oh baby you’re okay is a book of photos taken during a trip to Freighlisburg, Quebec, during a period of convalescence, in a morphine fog. They tell of a moment of pain, soothed by this encounter with another environment, more natural, full of life, which survives and heals. This displacement allows a refocusing of the self. This collection of images confronts soft and soothing ones with others cruder which recall the harshness of the accident and show death. This is also reflected in the way it is made: gauze, which is a binding tool but also a medical one. The knots of the binding Coptic stitches that puncture this very soft paper.
